She represents companies in the software and cloud computing industries, as well as medical device manufacturers, biotech vendors, and educational providers. Kristy advises clients on United States data privacy matters and is a U.S. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).

About Kristy

Prior to joining the firm, Kristy was a judicial law clerk at the Connecticut Superior Court, where she conducted legal research and drafted memoranda for the judges of the Superior Court. Kristy graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she also obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property and served as research and technology editor for the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.

During law school, Kristy worked as a law clerk at a premier Connecticut appellate boutique, served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Vanessa L. Bryant of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, assisted start-ups and entrepreneurs through the Law School’s Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic, and interned with the Intellectual Property and Privacy Group for The Hartford.

Kristy is a board member for the Hartford Stage Theater. Kristy enjoys live arts, salsa dancing, and hiking.

Drafting and revising agreements for a variety of commercial and technology transactions, including customer contracts, NDAs, services agreements, and end user and other intellectual property license agreements.

Data Privacy & Usage

Advising clients on privacy policies and regulatory requirements relating to personal information, as well as intellectual property and similar rights as to ownership and usage of data.

  • Reviewed and revised customer agreements for biotech and pharmaceutical marketing research provider.

  • Assisted in negotiating significant modifications to major customer for online educational services company.

  • Drafted stockholder notifications and consents for corporate governance changes for energy efficiency technology client.

  • Researched and drafted client memos regarding IP and regulatory requirements, providing recommendations for conducting business in countries including China, South Korea and Japan.

  • Conducted buy-side diligence for client acquisition and sell-side reviews in anticipation of asset sale.

  • Assisted in maintenance of US trademark registrations.
